whats up!

What up all! Sorry I've taken so long to post, and you can thank my little brother General Disregard for telling me to do so. So a little about myself: I have been playing Wic, for about 2-3 months now and was invited to this clan by the famous Warmonger_au (or infamous!). I've lived all but 11months of my life in California. (the 11months were spent on a processing boat up in Alaska). I've done manual labor all of my working career, with seasonal firefighting, stucco construction and moving being the majority. I live at home w/my bro and parents (we're bums War says, and he is damn right!) going to school at a community college, where hopefully i can make something better of myself, well maybe not better, but more complete.

Well there are a lot of good clans and a lot of great players in Wic, but FSF seems to have the greatest number of great players that are not only great but team players as well and some of the funnest to play with in Wic. I hope to learn from everyone I am capable of learning from in this clan, and with this I'd like to give a shout out to those I have been learning from now and look forward to learning in the future from: Warmonger, Aussiecol, Badbart, Uwcoy,  Canon, Dante, Sneaky, etc, etc, etc. I hope that in the near future I can contribute something meaningful to this awsome clan, so for now and always thankyou all very much!

Oh I'm sorry, I wanted to

Oh I'm sorry, I wanted to give a little background about my profile name, not that any of you care but I do. My wic name is major despair, but it is supposed to be MajorGeneral Despair the name of 2 different CRASS songs. I tried abbreviating it, because obviously it is too long, and didn't like the way it looked as opposed to major despair, so I made it "right" here. Thanks all again.

Whats up Dante, actually no,

Whats up Dante, actually no, at least not horrible hot, it is quite cool, though, especially for this time of year, generally speaking, late Aug-end of Oct. is our hot & dry time. Well on the coast anyways, inland I am sure it is hot. And I heard there is a big fire down in LA in the Angeles Forest.

Yeah the foot hills of the

Yeah the foot hills of the Angeles Forest have burned many times, although close to tajunga (in the urban-interface the fuel loading was quite high), back when I was in CDF, we used to call the upper Angeles Forest(in the timber) the asbestos forest, because even though quite dry, outside of the timber the fuel loading was quite low, specifically with regard to "ladder" fuels that allow the fire to get up into the timber. With out these the fire needs a huge head of steam (builds and pushes from lower elevations) to get the timber to continuously run with fire, in the crowns or otherwise. It looks like it started in a good place to have exactly this kind of scenario to take place, and of course the right time. Did this fire start during a Santa Ana Wind condition? Anyways sorry for the rambling reponse.

Wow, that is hot, up here we

Wow, that is hot, up here we are dying if it is 85 in  the day @night i couldn't imagine. As far as the santa ana condition, its kind of rare, for that to occur in august. I forgot which month, I think either July or August that they have no recorded history of that  condition occuring. Its general season is from sept-feb, but i have seen them in through april, and maybe even mild ones in may, and like i said they have records of them in may, june and  july or august(which ever month they excluded from there being no record). But one thing that i do know, is that in my life i have seen the climate change, not only dramaticaly but eridacly as well.
