Introducing the PsP Go
I do own a PSP (regular) which is a lot of fun. But this is mainly due to the fact that I am on train each day for almost 2hrs. Without this "forced break" I can hardly imagine playing enough to justify a PSP. If I were to buy a new PSP I guess I'd still go for the classic model. There are hardly any advantagages for the "go" model. Quite contrary: I addition to what you have already mentioned, Dante, you get a smaller screen an - so I have heard - less battery capacity .... for almost twice the money!
well it does have bluetooth :P and i own a psp go, its alright.....just as good or better then original imo cause i'd rather not worry about keeping up with games..

I also think its slightly better because its smaller and loading times are much shorter. But its more expensive and if you already have one like Dante, then its not worth trading in imo.
PS: do you buy games or do you use homebrew stuff?

i dont own a go but if its all digital who would want to buy games rather than obtaining them in another method?
How much is it in europe? Really it isnt that expensive here its about $210.00 for the 1 gb one and i see the psp 3000 for around 179.99, so its just around 30 bucks more.
Theres some people from china that sell those psp go memory sticks for cheap. The only thing is i wont be able to play my old games but then again i only have 5
also they say u can also get ps1 games on it. I know even in the older psp's it was possible too by moding your psp but that always caused problems in the games such as them not loading properly or saving and major glitches.

Still I think that 200 USD is a lot of money for simply changing to a slightly improved version. After all, you already own a PSP and its not gonna be worth much if you intend to sell it.
EDIT: double post ![]()

Wow! Here in Germany the Go starts at around 265 USD (PSP 3004 at 220 USD). So it is a lot cheaper over there.
As for the PSOne games: If I am not mistaken, those have always been available for the standard PSPs too (no homebrew)
Speed: Loading times should be a bit faster on the Go simply due to the fact that it loads its games off the memory stick and not UMD. But two things to consider:
1. It really depends whether you have a 100x or a 200x upwards model since with the 2000 series sony introduced a double sized umd cache which significantly reduces loading times (I have experience this and it really was a huuuge difference).
2. I am not sure: but can't you play all those PSPGo download games also on the older PSPs via memory stick?
Finally: A comparison of loading times betwen PSPGo and the classic one, both using memory sticks: You will see that the loading times are the same or seem a bit shorter on the old PSP. Also please note the smaller screen you would get:
I've also considered buying a larger memory card, but the PSP format cards are so much more expensive than those normal flash cards :O

has anyone tried this thing? ive heard it isnt a good investment because you cant buy used games, becuase of the fact that is doesn't use umds and everything is digital. So if u wanna buy games the best place they mentioned is the psn store.
16 gigs is hardly enough. They said the visuals in movies much better. Besides my pc the only other thing i would play is my psp becuase of the fact that its small has some decent graphics ( some games) and i dont have to hook up cables to use it.
