It seems that the poll at AFO site about the merger went just as smoothly "pro" the move as our poll did.
Valkyrie informed me today though that most of the members do not agree to simply become FSF but want a new name, site etc.
So here we go again, deciding on whether we want to get rid of FSF and its hostory (in some way). Majority decides.
Thus far I can only give my opinion which would be a clear "no".
After all FSF stands since 2003 (that's 4 years now). Not many clans survive that long and i wouldn't want to throw that awayfor 4-5 new members joining. It is just a little change for them and after 2 months they would have forgotten all about their tag anyway, while the FSF tradition could go on.

P.S. one of the suggestions was "All For Fishstick".

what do you think if we offered them to keep a part of their tag for some time.. something like _FSF_[AFO]Valkyrie or _FSF_[AFO]Kaveman (or similar) and adding their clan logo to the site header as well (next to our logo). What do you think ? Any other ideas welcome !
We will be the ones accomodating them if i assesed this deal correctly. so we should set the terms FSF or no go.
i would agree with Zorns compromise of _FSF_[AFO] or they could possibly add ex_AFO at the end of their names. I think its silly in the first place that a tag a person wears in a video game could be the verdict of weither we become gaming partners with them. maybe they relate FSF to the Godfather days and the mass exodus of members?

i think you guys sould not be considering about even changing the name of the clan it should be eitheir they stay and live with it or dont join at all. In my opinion and what ive heard about the clans history the name itself is unique u see other clans tend to put someone like armyofone, legionsofsparta, and so on.. but the name thefishstickfoundation brings makes the clan standout becuase of its unique name that seperates them from us.

This exactly what I think why we should not even consider changing the name. There had been one or two "campaigns" in the past 4 years to change the clan name to something considered "cooler" or more "clan-like" (pretty much the examples you have named). This would make FSF just another ordinary tag amongst thousands. Fishstickfoundation is soo unique.. u gotta love it )
In that case im doing the same to you Zorn for the interview section because is still messed up

As for the status on this I have made the babes block visible to the public again and gonna install a mod for eggs tomorrow to upload hot chicks that we can rate and droole on ;)

In the end negotiations fell down around the name changes...they didn't want to change to FSF, we wouldn't give up our historic name...Zorn and I pointed out that we would be giving up something very important for no gain...whilst AFO would gain a huge amount from the deal...Valk agreed but said her guys wouldn't budge...so I would say for a few of them it is just simmering now...not quite dead.
